I wanted to try Dounia's technique on the Paper Artsy blog. The colored background shows through the black acrylic, it is quite subtle but maybe I shouldn't have waited for the black paint to dry. Here is my combination: 1. brusho (green & blue) 2. black acrylic paint 3. diluted white acrylic paint on a stamp.
I added stamped image, heat embossed with white & black embossing powder.

I love this technique on your "Dark to Light" tag. The artistic techniques on the PaperArtsy blog are incredible. I learn something every time.
Lovely! Just a tip: you need to let the black paint dry but most powder colours, like Brushos, are a bit unpredictable with this technique. For a more vibrant result, I recommend watercolors or disress ink re-inkers. Hope it didn't discouraged you!
