I don't use distress inks as often as I used to but when I read Heather's technique on the Winnie and Walter blog, I decided to make my background with them. When completely dried I used the big bang circle stencil  (by Winnie and Walter) on top with gesso.

The moodboad below on the Winnie and Walter blog was very inspiring, a great combination of colors and pattern. I had fun playing with gelatos, paint, stamping and tape...a mix of techniques to decorate the cover of my notebook.
